We are looking for a copywriter that can work across multiple disciplines as part of the global marketing team for Backbase. This includes short copy, long copy, social media content, press releases, blog posts and white papers. The ability to translate complex technology and market trends into easy to understand product and marketing collateral is your bread and butter. We are looking for someone who loves to write.
We love content at Backbase, and actively encourage the use of first-person narrative when it comes to talking about our skills. We are a leader when it comes to innovation in the digital channel for financial institutions, and we want to get this specialist knowledge across to our employees, our clients and our business prospects. We do this with strong white papers, interesting webinars and our editorial platform for thought leadership, BankNXT.
You will liaise with all departments across the business as an ambassador for our in-house editorial content. This means you are proactive in seeing and implementing content opportunities that fit the Backbase marketing strategy. You will take ownership of editorial projects, sometimes working to tight deadlines, and will take it in your stride. You will oversee the Backbase blog online community, and will liaise with our BankNXT editor-in-chief in creating opportunities to cross-pollinate great content and ideas.
This role is a full-time position, but could also work in a part-time capacity. You will report to the head of content, and will be based in Amsterdam.
You are already a copywriter with 3-5 years’ experience. This should include digital editorial and a knowledge of fintech and financial services. You can multitask with the best of them, can handle WordPress, and can demonstrate a good portfolio of work. Other skills should include:
fluency in English, to a high standard as a writer and speaker
