At Backbase, content is king and we are looking for a technically minded content copywriter to work across multiple disciplines as part of the Backbase Global Marketing Team. We seek someone who not only loves to write, but understands the value of clever, unique content. As a Backbase copywriter, you will have the experience of creating short and long copy for social media, press releases, blog posts and white papers. In addition to having a passion for the written word, you can research relevant topics thoroughly as part of creating content. Translating complex technology and market trends into easy-to-understand product and marketing collateral is also what you do, and you do it well.
As leaders in driving digital innovation amongst financial institutions, we have a lot of specialist knowledge to share with our employees, clients and business prospects. We do so via strong white papers, interesting webinars and our editorial platform for thought leadership, BankNXT. Part of your role will be to simplify complex information, while knowing which key technical details to retain.
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications, you will liaise with all departments across the business as an ambassador for our in-house editorial content. This means you are proactive in seeing and implementing content opportunities that fit the Backbase marketing strategy. You will take ownership of editorial projects, sometimes working to tight deadlines, which you will take in your stride.
This role is a full-time position, which is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Already a copywriter with 3-5 years’ experience, you can hit the ground running. Your experience should include digital editorial and you have some knowledge of fintech and financial services. You can demonstrate a strong writing portfolio and are used to multi-tasking. You are comfortable in working with platforms such as WordPress, and in learning to work with new systems. Other skills include:
- Fluency in English - to a very high standard, both written and spoken
- Attention to detail - a keen eye for accuracy and good proofreading skills
- Communication skills - you can get people on board in order to get things done
- Collaboration skills - proven ability to work well with a team
