Backbase Academy provides training and certification for the Backbase product line for new hires as well as external developers at near-shore parties, partners and clients. We are about to convert a substantial part of its current offering of instructor-led training into e-learning modules. We are looking for someone who can help build up our e-learning curriculum, and make the transformation towards a blended learning/flipped classroom situation.
You will work in the Backbase Academy team together with our technical trainers, as well as with SMEs from our Professional Services department and the Product/R&D department. With your experience in how to create efficient and effective e-learning modules, you will create engaging content in a SCORM-compliant format and publish it in our LMS. Although you are supported by Backbase experts in various disciplines, such as UX, graphic design and technical writing, you’re capable of producing e-learning modules independently based on input from the SMEs and/or the existing classroom materials. The complexity and nature of the product combined with the latest technology trends makes working in Academy at Backbase a great and challenging experience.
You are an e-learning designer/developer with a couple of years’ experience with various e-learning production tools and learning management systems under your belt. You are tech savvy, and you understand the basics of our technology stacks enough to write/edit comprehensive and correct training materials for it. Key technologies in our technology stacks are Java, Spring and Apache Camel in the back-end, and AngularJS in the front-end.
As an e-learning developer, you will be expected to define and own the e-learning production process, including technical formats, templates/styles/variations, as well as planning and execution of the material production together with the SMEs. In cooperation with the Academy team, you will delineate the set of deliverables. A self-supporting attitude is required.
You will write, edit and harmonize all of our technical e-learning modules. You must be able to demonstrate a flair for working with developers and architects to create accurate content. As we are building up our team, a growth path to Team Lead is possible in the future.
You will be part of the Academy team (currently eight people in Amsterdam, but growing) and report to the VP Academy.
